After being called to the Bar in 2016, Ashleigh worked as a freelance county court advocate for 2 years prior to beginning pupillage. She attended for mortgage and rent repossessions, infant approvals, applications to set aside judgement, summary judgement, orders for sale, bankruptcies and small claims.
During pupillage Ashleigh has gained experience in crime and family. She has attended both public and private law family matters, fact finds and final hearings. She has both observed and appeared in a variety of criminal hearings, both in the magistrates and the crown court; for example, road traffic court, CPS sessions, bail applications, PTPHs, appeals against conviction and sentence, and trials. Ashleigh has observed numerous trials, including for more serious offences such as rape and murder. Further, Ashleigh has represented clients at mental health tribunals.
Ashleigh will accept instructions in crime, family and civil matters.
